{"id":115,"date":"2011-05-10T18:26:54","date_gmt":"2011-05-10T15:26:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/starburstfound.org\/superwaveblog\/?p=115"},"modified":"2011-05-10T18:27:04","modified_gmt":"2011-05-10T15:27:04","slug":"gammax-ray-source-grb-110328a-still-active-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/starburstfound.org\/superwaveblog\/?p=115","title":{"rendered":"Gamma\/X-ray source GRB 110328A still active"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In response to Nick Darby&#8217;s comment on the previous post, a few days ago I checked with one of the Swift team astronomers, Jamie Kennea, who said that the source is &#8220;still well detected.&#8221; Swift observes this source daily and posts the data on the following page on their website (<a href=\"http:\/\/swift.gsfc.nasa.gov\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/swift.gsfc.nasa.gov<\/a>).   Enter 110328A in the homepage search box and refer to found links.  As seen from the X-ray light curve posted at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.swift.ac.uk\/xrt_curves\/00450158\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.swift.ac.uk\/xrt_curves\/00450158\/<\/a>, the source is still very active with no indication it is dying down, as some astronomers had expected; see graph below.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_101\" style=\"width: 464px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/starburstfound.org\/superwaveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/lightcurve-5-9.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-101\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-101\" title=\"lightcurve-5-9\" src=\"http:\/\/starburstfound.org\/superwaveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/lightcurve-5-9.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"454\" height=\"353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/starburstfound.org\/superwaveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/lightcurve-5-9.jpg 454w, https:\/\/starburstfound.org\/superwaveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/lightcurve-5-9-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-101\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">BAT X-ray intensity from GRB 110328A as of May 10, 2011<\/p><\/div>\n<p>This shows that as of the date of this May 10th posting quasar source GRB 110328A has been active for one and a half months.  So time is rapidly running out for the black hole snack theory.
