On October 15, 2010, I submitted the following letter to Astrobiology downloadable here: starburstfound.org/SETI/astrobio-10-15-10.pdf. The journal editor, Dr. Sherry Cady, initially encouraged me to write a letter to the journal, then fielded the earlier version of my letter to Gregory Benford for his comments, then she suggested that I revise my letter, but after I had submitted a revised version to the journal that was deemed to be acceptable to her she has further deliberated and has now refused to publish my letter. I am left thinking what a big waste of time this has been.
